FRI. APRIL 26th @ 8:00PM
An alternative emo indie punk dad rock band from Buffalo, NY
Dream Rock band Ace of Wands was formed by multi-instrumentalist Lee Rose - drawn to the fiery creativity of the Tarot card that gave the name. With bandmates Anna Mernieks and Jody Brumell, the trio creates immersive and intricate soundscapes inspired by gothic rock, punk and dream pop - with dark and light captured in equal measure. A classically trained violinist, Lee sings, plays violin and synth bass foot-pedals simultaneously, creating a truly unique sound and performance style.
AOW channels the tension and dread of a nightmare and the effortless freedom of lucid dreaming in their music. They compel audiences to listen with attention, and not shy away from the dreams that may reveal hidden parts of themselves.
Into the Light is a Post-Hardcore/Alternative band featuring Members of Achilles, Bad Bloom, Earthhquake, Hard to Know, Lemuria, How We Are, Marathon, Building on Fire, The Silence Broken
SAT. APRIL 27th @ 8:00PM
Formed in Rochester, NY in 1976, New Math opened for the likes of the Ramones, The Cramps, The Damned, and Gun Club at now-extinct local clubs. Offering up an endless supply of ascending guitar lines and catchy hooks of amphetamine-fueled power pop. With a 7” on CBS in the UK and a debut EP on US indie label 415 Records, the band rode the new wave. This collection of out-of-print early singles and unreleased demos showcase why they made fans both in the US and UK.
“Birthed out of the same city that gave way to the Gories and the White Stripes, Sugar Tradition is the latest component of the storied Detroit Garage scene. Formed in 2017, the trio is fronted by guitarist/vocalist Antonio Keka, and rounded out by the explosive rhythm section of Arlo Betley on bass and Kevin Irwin on drums. Heavily influenced by the raw, unfiltered sound of their predecessors, the group's music reflects the animated energy of their live performances. Fresh off the release of their full-length debut Sugar Shack, the group opened back-to-back nights during the inaugural shows of Jack White’s Supply Chain Issues tour. The group has worked and performed with acts like Jack White, Wayne Kramer, Danny Kroha, Mary Cobra, Johnny Walker, Shadow Show, The Stools, and The Demolition Dollrods.”
